loves: pushing his walker, standing up and climbing, chewing on anything within reach, eating EVERYTHING, playing in the park, singing and talking to anyone who will listen!
dislikes: laying on his back, getting his diaper changed, Luke licking his toes, people sneezing
new achievements: saying “more” when he wants more food and clapping!
I can’t believe in less than a month our little boy will be one year old! Where did the time go? Brennan is getting incredibly strong, vocal, and funnier by the day.
He’s saying “more” when he wants more food! It’s hilarious…
Brennan’s sleep schedule is getting better by the day. His naps used to be terribly short, but now he’s getting at least two 1.5 to 2 hour naps a day. A sign he’s growing (even more!) And when it comes to bedtime – he goes down super easy. If not asleep when we lay him in his crib – he calmly dotes around in his crib and then falls asleep in a corner of his crib on his belly.
Brennan is still going to his weekly Gymboree classes and has graduated into the 10 – 16 months group. It’s great to see him socialize with other kids his age, some walking and some barely crawling. Brennan fits right in, bulldozing though everything and definitely the most vocal! J
As we’ve written before – Brennan is absolutely hilarious. Whether he’s playing with his toys, chasing Luke, or eating, he does it with a smile, or in his own little language.
B has also started swim lessons at the YMCA. They are parent teacher classes from 6mo to 2 years of age. It is more about becoming comfortable with the water, rather then actually skills at this age. He plays fun games “ring around the rosy”, “humpty dumpty”, and floating exercises. We love spending this time with him, he however isn’t a huge fan because the water temp is a bit on the chilly side and he just shivers the entire time, but we do get a few smiles here and there.
This year for my birthday I was able to spend with my little man, and it was the best one yet. Cassie and B spoiled me with a fun day of activities and gifts.
B is trying to hard to walk by himself. He is standing by himself, and walking very well holding our hands, but hasn’t quite figured out he can do it on its own. He is such a big boy he has that much more body to get moving too. It’s hard seeing him get so frustrated but I know he’ll do it in his own time.
We are so proud of who our little man is becoming, but I wish he would slow down just a bit and stay a baby rather then trying to be such a big boy!
