loves: crawling and playing chase, his mouse in the house toy, stacking his toy cups together, eating puffs
dislikes: being stationary, not being allowed to lay on Luke’s bed, new people holding him
new achievements: pulling up and standing on everything! taking steps holding onto things, waving and saying hi
Brennan is growing up right before our eyes. These past few months he has accomplished and learned so much. He is a speed racing crawler and can get anywhere in the blink of an eye. The living room has turned into a large playpen and I have all the exits blocked off with furniture so he can’t escape… because he tries. He learned to pull up to the standing position and now scales and tries to climb anything he can get on. He is also walking holding onto surfaces, it wont be long till he’s walking on his own. My playpen is only going to work a bit longer
[first time on the swings!]
[auntie nanyn came for a suprise visit… and B is half the size of her now!]
We started Gymboree classes last month and B loves them. The class is once a week for 45 minutes – they clap along to songs, we play freeze dance, parachutes, and crawl and climb up different padded structures. It is very stimulating and great for his motor skills. I can tell that Gymboree has been a big contributor to his strength and confidence. He is now getting up stairs, going down ramps and dancing to any song he hears. It is adorable.
[like father, like son]
He is learning things so quickly! You can ask him where his specific mouse toy is… and he’ll go get it. Ask him where Luke is… he’ll crawl over to him. The list goes on and on. He has always been such a vocal baby but his language is now developing and he’s understanding with little repetition. He just amazes me every day.
[first park day!]
One on my favorite holidays is Valentines Day, and it was so special spending it with Brennan. My mom hosted a lovely Valentine’s Day brunch and he was showered with gifts and kisses. Every holiday is that much better now seeing the joy through his eyes.
B is such a goofy baby. He loves to laugh at the silliest things, like when you put things on your head, make animal sounds, suddenly scare him, being tossed him in the air. He has the best gut wrenching laugh that is completely infectious.
[playing at The Woodlands Children’s museum]
We are so proud of who our little man is becoming, but I wish he would slow down just a bit and stay a baby rather then trying to be such a big boy!
