Hard to believe Brennan has been with us for 9 months, the same amount of time I was pregnant. Those 9 months felt like an eternity… dreaming of what he would look like, who he’d be, wishing I could just hold him! These past 9 months have gone by so fast, yet I can’t remember life without him.
nicknames: little man, monster baby, peanut.
loves: ‘special agent oso’, eating his puffs, running in his walker, dad tossing him in the air
dislikes: riding in his carseat, being stationary, staying up past 7pm
new achievements: crawling!, giving high-fives and kisses
This past month B had a great appetite. We began having a solid breakfast, lunch and dinner which mostly consist of fruits and vegetables but we have introduced a few grains and snacks – puffs are his favorite! He is not a picky eater at all and loves anything and everything you give him. I just hope he stays that way…
The biggest change for B (and us!) was that he began crawling!! He had been rocking back and forth on his knees for a few weeks, moving a leg here and there but this month he really took off! He loves crawling around the coffee table in circles, following us into the kitchen and just moving in general. He knows he’s mobile now and there is no stopping him anymore!!
B still isn’t the greatest sleeper, which I’m hoping will change eventually. Bedtime at 7, wakes at 4, pacifier until he’s over it and awake at 5am. Takes one power nap in the morning in our bed, afternoon nap in his crib, and late afternoon nap in our bed. His naps however only add up to about 2.5 hours however. Maybe when he stops cutting teeth he’ll sleep better? At least thats what I keep telling myself.
Both Grandpa’s had birthday’s last month! We were able to celebrate with Gpa Ken and help him blow out his candles, which he was fascinated by. As for Papa Jim, we sent him our love via pictures and Skype. Hoping he will get to Houston soon and come see us.
Luke and B are starting to become buddies… at least in Brennan’s eyes. He is always curious to what Luke is doing, playing with, eating, etc. Always had one eye on him and knows him by name. Luke however is not a big fan of the ‘envision of space’ but is such a good boy and puts up with it or just leaves the room. Poor Spooks… 🙂
His bottom two teeth finally cut through. My little baby is starting to look like such a little boy! I was hoping we’d get a bit of a break now but he’s still cutting something else.
Brennan is such a sweet natured, giggle machine. He has the best gut wrenching laugh that is so contagious and finds everything hilarious. His smile lights up our day and we just can’t get enough of his fuzzy little head. He’s our whole world and everything in it.
PS. SEAHAWKS WON THE SUPERBOWL!!! How cool that Brennan’s first Superbowl was the Seahawks first win. One I will never forget, and never let him forget either 🙂 Guess he’s a good luck charm… and a Hawks fan for life (just don’t tell Daddy)!
